EDMORE SANGO

Born in Guruve Edmore’s interest in sculpting bloomed when still a boy, surrounded by siblings who were already talented sculptors while he was growing up. He started assisting his brother Brighton and sister Queen, both famous sculptors, while a teenager polishing and sanding their sculptures.
In 1998 he was invited by the director of the Tengenenge Sculpture Community Tom Blomefield to join the famous community of artists. Edmore worked in Tengenenge for two years and his work was immediately recognized by foreigners and local art collectors: he was invited to Netherland and Germany to held workshops and exhibitions. He is now a member of Tsindi Arts Centre in Hatfield, Harare.
