Edmore was born in 1970 in Chimanimani district of Manicaland province in the Eastern Highlands of Zimbabwe. From 1986 to 1990 he worked as a basket weaver; in 1993 he began to learn stone sculpting under the supervision of his brother Morgan Chijumani. Morgan was taught by the brothers late father who was also a stone sculptor based in Chimanimani.

Edmore’s trademark are his fish carved in fruit serpentine, a colorful hard serpentine stone, and cobalt stone. Easily recognized, they are becoming very collectable as they are included in more exhibitions.

Edmore was involved in a group exhibition of Zimbabwean sculptures entitled “Dialogue in Stone” held at Centre Island ,Toronto, Canada in 2006 organized by Talking Stones Gallery . He was also involved in a group exhibition held in Delaware, USA in September 2006, which featured Dominic Benhura and Richard Mteki amongst others.
